THE PERFECT MURICA THANKSGIVING TURKEY RECIPE ACCORDING TO DONALD TRUMP

  • 4 tbsp maple syrup

  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

  • 1 tbsp melted butter

PREPARATION

1. Brining (12 hours)

  1. Bring all brine ingredients to a boil.

  2. Let cool completely.

  3. Submerge the turkey in the brine (or baste regularly if not fully covered).


2. “Patriot BBQ” butter rub

  1. Mix the softened butter with paprika, garlic, onion, mustard, pepper, herbs, and salt.

  2. Gently lift the skin of the turkey and spread some of the butter underneath for extra juiciness.

  3. Rub the remaining butter all over the skin.


3. New England stuffing

  1. Sauté onions and celery in butter.

  2. Add cornbread, cranberries, and diced apple.

  3. Season with sage, salt, and pepper.

  4. Lightly fill the turkey cavity (don’t pack too tightly).


4. Cooking

  • Preheat oven to 165°C / 330°F.

  • Place the turkey on a rack in a large roasting pan.

  • Cook for about 45 minutes per kg (roughly 20 minutes per pound).

  • Baste occasionally.

Let the turkey rest 20–30 minutes before carving.
